Ronald Tundang

Ronald Tundang is a practicing international lawyer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has over 10 years of experience working with governments and international organizations on international trade and investment law.
With IISD, he assists the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states in promoting responsible investment in food, agriculture, and forestry and provides advisory support on the same topic for the members of parliaments that are part of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
Before working with IISD, he was a diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington, DC, and a legal adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia and a master's degree in public international law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is currently a Ph.D. scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He has published in various journals and media outlets, such as the Journal of World Trade, East Asia Forum, and The Interpreter. He's also frequently invited to various conferences, such as the American Society of International Law Annual Meeting and the World Intellectual Property Organization’s regional meeting.
